Marion Rose Beyer, age 92 of Gibbon, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Southview Living Center in Gibbon.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at St. George Catholic Church in St. George, MN.

Marion Rose (Hoffmann) Beyer was born February 10, 1929, in Sigel Township, Brown County to John H. and Mary C. (Warta) Hoffmann. She went to District 10 country school, and Holy Trinity Catholic school in New Ulm, MN.

On June 19, 1950, Marion was united in marriage to Jerome Leo Beyer at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Together they farmed in rural Gibbon their entire married life.

Before marriage, Marion worked at the Grand Hotel in New Ulm. Later in life, she worked at Fenske’s Café and the Gibbon Ballroom. She was a dedicated lifetime member of St. George Catholic Church where she was active with the National Catholic Society of Foresters, the CCW of St. George, as well as the St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Catholic United. Marion loved to crochet and embroider, play bingo and cards, as well as do word searches and puzzles. Her hobbies in life were gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed taking in nature mushroom hunting. She had a great love for all animals, especially her favorites, Woofer and Bessie. Marion had many joys in her life, but her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Joleen (Randy) Schaefer of North Mankato, Margie (Pete) Indra of Osage, Iowa, Karen (Brad) Spaude of Gibbon; grandchildren, Ritchie Schaefer, Riley (fiancé Mackenzie) Schaefer, Amanda (Tom) Brekhus, Sarah (Alex) Krumm, Rebecca (fiancé Skyler) Indra, Justin (significant other Nicole) Spaude, and Bryan Spaude; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and John Hoffmann; her husband, Jerome Beyer in March of 2006; her sister, Viola; brothers, Harold and Gilbert; and sister-in-law, Adeline.
