The Sherman-Bohn VFW Post was mustered for the first time on February 19, 1946. At that time, 55 veterans became the Post’s charter members.
Seventy-five years later, the group received the Diamond Jubilee award for reaching the milestone.
The Post was named for Lloyd Sherman, the first soldier from Morgan to be lost overseas during World War I, and Jerald Bohn, the first solder from Morgan killed in World War II.
