Lucille Berger, 95, of Gibbon, MN died peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop, MN.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

Lucille Anna Gertrude Stresemann was born August 2, 1925 in Transit Township, Sibley County to Frank and Anna (Dascher) Stresemann.

She was united in marriage to Alloyus Berger on May 21, 1946 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Lucille was employed as a waitress in Brownton and live-in housekeeper at various homes in the area and after marriage she farmed and raised children with her husband. She later was employed at Green Giant, Gibbon Ballroom, Winthrop Good Samaritan and as a librarian at Gibbon Public Schools.

Lucille’s hobbies included gardening, handywork, puzzles, fishing, camping and visiting relatives and friends.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Jonell (Jim) Hovind of Elk River; sons, Jim (Berny) Berger of Gibbon, John Berger of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Angie (Frank) Spinelli, Mark Berger, Aubrey Odim, Jaimie Berger, Mackenzie Berger and Heather Koon; and her great-grandchildren, Ella, Ethan, Erin and Harmony.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alloyus; sisters, Edna Rickheim and Della Klitzke; and her brothers, Elmer, Alvin and Raymond Stresemann.
