As Cedar Mountain entered the 2020-2021, we set our goal to provide all students a great education regardless of the current learning model. Planning took place to ensure safety was our number one priority and to establish systems that allowed us to quickly transition between learning models. Now having passed the mid-way point of the year, we are able to reflect on the success that we have had and continue on our path to finish strong.

The Cedar Mountain Drama department has been working hard to prepare their ‘Fall play in February’. This year’s performance is the ‘Not-So-Grimm Fairy Tales’ by Kevin Bean. The performance will be live-streamed on Thursday, February 4 at 7:00 pm. The link to the livestream can be found on the Cedar Mountain Schools website.

Friday, January 15th concluded our 2nd quarter at LCS where students spent most of the quarter distance learning. Congratulations to the following students:

On November 20th, LCS staff made the heart-wrenching decision to go distance learning. With the holiday season quickly approaching and Covid-19 numbers on the rise, we wanted to keep our students, families, and staff safe. Starting on December 2nd LCS teachers and students began teaching and learning online.

Things are moving quickly for GFW in 2021. Our Strategic Planning and Budget Process are about to really kick into high gear, and we are currently conducting a survey of all staff, parents, and students in grades 6-12 in hopes of providing a more equitable and inclusive learning environment for all. Survey links have been emailed to parents and staff and can be completed until January 26; the survey will take about 10 minutes to complete.
