A growing group of car collectors and enthusiasts will be making a run through Fairfax on Wednesday afternoon.
The group has been doing a weekly parade in New Ulm, vising nursing homes and assisted living facilities there to share their love of vehicles with their neighbors. They started with five cars, but their numbers have grown to over 100 vehicles.

The Fairfax City Council met for their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 9 at the Community Center.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance and the approval of the agenda, the Council reviewed and approved the Consent agenda and then moved on to New Business.

The GFW School Board met for a special meeting on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:30 pm via Zoom. The meeting was also live streamed on Facebook.
The purpose of the meeting was for the group to review and approve the contract with Jeff Horton, their selected candidate to fill the vacant superintendent position.

Cpl. Collin Kerkhoff, from Morgan, son of Barb and Keith Kerkhoff, has been named the 2019 Motor Transport Operator of the year at Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

Gibbon resident Dave Bonsack (pictured above left), and his son Jake Bonsack (center) of Royalton, Minnesota, competed in the AIM Pro Walleye Series National Championship Shootout on Lake Mille Lacs on May 29th and 30th. The tournament was by invitation only for the top 10 teams from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota based on how they did during the 2019 season. The Bonsacks tallied a total of 80.09 pounds in 10 fish over the course of two days to bring home the top prize – a brand new Warrior Boat with a Yamaha 150-horse motor.
