The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars hosted the Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs in their first home game of the season on December 6. 

The Lady Cougars worked hard, but the Mustangs were too much for them this early in the season. BLHS pulled out in front early in the game and never looked back.

T-Bird boys suffer second loss of the season

On Thursday, December 8, the GFW boys’ varsity basketball team hosted the Indians of Sleepy Eye Public in their first home game of the season.

The Indians put the first points on the board, but the T-Birds responded quickly, keeping the score close, and trading points for the lead early in the game.

The GFW boys’ basketball team traveled to Lester Prairie on Tuesday, December 6 to take on the Bulldogs on their home court in a non-conference matchup.

The Bulldogs jumped out in front early, and worked to hold onto their advantage.

GFW T-Birds sneak past Wolverines

The GFW boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to Arlington on Friday, December 9 for a game against the Sibley East Wolverines.

Sibley East put the first points on the board, but the T-Birds answered quickly with a short jumper by Ashton Buboltz.

Lady T-Birds participate in Wabasso Tourney

The GFW girls’ varsity basketball team participated in a tournament in Wabasso on December 9th and 10th.

On Friday, December 9th, the girls went head-to-head with the Chargers of Westbrook-Walnut Grove.

The GFW girls’ varsity basketball team hosted the Giants of LeSueur-Henderson on Monday, November 28 in a non-conference contest.

The T-Birds played well and kept the score close so that, as the teams headed into the halftime break, they held a two-point advantage with a score of 19-17.

The GFW boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to St. James on Friday, December 2 for their first game of the season against the St. James Saints.

The T-Birds scored the first points of the game, and held the lead through most of the first half.
