The GFW School Board recently met on June 21 beginning with the presentation of a certificate of recognition to Michael Foods of Gaylord, which donated food to the GFW end of the year staff and student celebration.
The Superintendent’s report was presented by GFW Superintendent, Jeff Horton.

The Cedar Mountain School Board met for their regular meeting on June 21.
Joel Harmoning from Farmers Union Insurance presented on the district’s insurance policy renewal, which includes an increase of 7.32 percent. The insurance policy was approved.

My first day on the job had me writing an introduction about myself to the readers and reporting on the GFW School Board. That first day has set the tone for my experience here, as is where I learned how deeply this region cares about its local newspaper.

The T-Bird Community Arts group was formed several years ago in an effort to bring a focus to the arts in our area. Since the beginning, one of the areas of concentration for younger students has been the summer art camp.

Chad Huiras has lived in Morgan his entire life. He has also worked all over state and has spent a lot of time living on the road. He has spent enough time in larger cities that he appreciates the small-town lifestyle of Morgan. “We’ve got it darn good out here,” he added.
