Buboltz retires after 41 years of caring for area children

Karen Buboltz, of Fairfax, retired in January after spending 41 years caring for hundreds, maybe thousands of children from the area.

Karen grew up in Gibbon and moved to Fairfax with her husband Brian in November of 1980. She started her daycare in January of 1981 because she wanted to be at home with her kids.

Prairie Lutheran School’s girls’ basketball coach Randy Ristow recently coached the 1,000th game of his coaching career, and while it hasn’t always been easy, he has no regrets.

The Morgan Community Play is back after a one-year hiatus due to COVID in 2021! Remember the 1990’s? Computers were new, exciting, and bringing different ideas every day. Online dating became a thing in the mid-90’s and if you want to see some hilarious results, be sure to attend “Nuptialknots.com” at the Morgan High School Friday, February 25, and Saturday, February 26 with 7 pm performances and Sunday, February 27 at 1:30 pm. Tickets are available only at the door before each performance, no reserved seating this year.

Progress at Cedar Heart Homes site in Franklin continues

Cedar Mountain School Board approves changes to calendar

The Cedar Mountain School Board met for their February meeting on Monday, February 14 in Franklin.

Once the agenda was approved and several donations were received, the Board moved into Staff Reports.

In the Elementary report, Principal Tabata Miller provided updated enrollment numbers for her building, with a total number in PreK through Fifth grade of 182 students.
